Tender & Contracts Manager


  • Relevant MSc degree, preferably within Law or Business Administration
  • Good understanding of Contractual Law relevant to the oil & gas industry
  • Min 5 years relevant experience
  • Service minded with high integrity, flexibility and strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptability, initiative and problem solving capabilities
  • Systematic way of working with a high attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must have a strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluency in English

The role is responsible for preparation of tenders and contract support in OWS.  Includes, but not limited to the following:

  •  Evaluation of contracts, risks and insurance requirement for tenders
  • Report contractual challenges, materials disputes and required CRC – reporting to Division Contract responsible (OWS Global) and Corporate Legal
  • Prepare documentation and attend Corporate Risk Committees
  • Participate in Contract related support to Regional operational division and administrative staff
  • Draft agent agreements, co-operation agreements, IP rights etc
  • Participate in negotiations of contracts
  • Work closely with Divisional Contract Responsible (OWS Global) and Corporate Legal
  • Manage the coordination of offers for OWS
  • Promote the need for contractual awareness
  • Manage the completion of the tendering processes and work toward current and new customers, internal and external
  • Manage and develop the regional tendering team in OWS
  • Ensure quality, updating and follow-up on current contracts/agreements
  • Suggest/prepare objectives, strategies and action plans – including sub objectives and sub strategies with the area of responsibility
  • Ensure experience transfer and optimal use of human and material resources
  • Ensure that cooperation and interaction with management and organization provides a basis for focus on efficiency, continuous improvement and management on the basis of key figures
  • Participate proactively in meetings with customers, partners authorities and others in order to maintain own area of responsibility
  • Develop contracts/activities and be proactive in regards to new business possibilities and business areas according to corporate guidelines
  • Contribute to and ensure good working environment
  • Ensure communication and information flow toward co-workers, customers & OWS VP’s
  • Be available and approachable for other managers for integration, flow of information and cooperation between disciplines departments and offices within OWS
  • Other duties as requested by management
