Safety Training Co-ordinators – Platform Drilling


We are looking for Safety Training Co-ordinators for the platform drilling side of our business.  The successful candidates will work on the UKCS on a 3/3 rotation.


The Safety Training Co-ordinator shall provide support & assistance to the Offshore Management Team to deliver safe operations compliant to company & client policies & procedures.


The Safety Training Co-ordinator shall provide support & assistance to the offshore team to:

  • achieve company objectives & targets
  • support company & platform offshore Safety Reps
  • maintain proactive relationships with client interfaces


The Safety Training Co-ordinator shall liaise between the Company Training Dept & offshore team to proactively manage communications & training needs/actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for carrying out the work activity and objectives established by the Senior Toolpusher, HSE Manager, QHSE Advisors and Shore Based Rig Manager and the administration and implementation of the Company’s Management System.
  • Recommend overall solutions which will promote continual improvement to reach the company goal of zero fault.
  • Support the TP to deliver effective crew/vendor safety meetings.
  • Review Safety Check, BOSS, JSA, TOFS, TBT submissions & report on same.
  • Conduct new personnel rig orientation (drilling & platform).
  • Drive & co-ordinate the company competence programme.
  • Liaise with HR & CAS Supervisor on crew training & competence assurance records.
  • Provide reports.
  • Conduct/participate in incident investigations & co-ordinate/complete reports.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift HSE daily briefs with crews.
  • Facilitate closure of offshore actions.
  • Manage self-verification process & reporting.
  • Perform self-verifications, inspections & audits.
  • Provide summary report at morning calls.
  • Assist in the management & maintenance of procedural document control in CMS.


The successful candidate must have the following:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • A minimum of 3 years previous STC experience within platform drilling.
  • Hold the minimum certification required to travel offshore.
  • Hold a valid NEBOSH certificate.
